Chemical composition (%): Chemical composition:
- Chromium (Cr): About 17-19%, provides corrosion resistance.
- Nickel (Ni): About 8-10%, supports toughness and heat resistance.
- Sulfur (S): About 0.15-0.35%, enhances machining and cutting ability.
- Carbon (C): Maximum 0.15%, helps maintain corrosion resistance without reducing mechanical properties.

Physical properties:
- Corrosion resistance: SUS 303 has good corrosion resistance in many different environments, including chemical environments and seawater.
- Mechanical properties: High durability and good machinability, but not as good as SUS 304 in terms of corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
- Machinability: Improved compared to SUS 304 thanks to Sulfur content, making it easier to mechanically process.
