Chemical composition (%): C2801 contains about 60-63% copper (Cu) and 37-40% zinc (Zn). This ratio gives the alloy high strength and good wear resistance.

- Ductility and machinability: This alloy has good ductility and is easy to process by methods such as pressing, stamping, and bending.
