Chemical composition (%): 1060 is mainly composed of aluminum (Al) with a purity of 99.5%, with a small amount of impurities such as iron (Fe) and silicon (Si).
Physical properties:
- Good electrical and thermal conductivity: With high purity, A1060 has very good electrical and thermal conductivity, second only to pure aluminum 1000 (100%).
- Corrosion resistance: A1060 aluminum has good corrosion resistance, especially in air, fresh water and some mild chemicals.
- High toughness: A1060 has high ductility, easy to roll, bend and stretch into different shapes.
- Low mechanical strength: A1060 aluminum has lower mechanical strength than other aluminum alloys, which makes it more suitable for applications that do not require high loads.
